AMA and all that. My hunch was right, and the 944 does need a new alternator. I’m finally gonna reach the point where I’ve spent $1k on the 944 with this job being done by a shop since I don’t have the time.
But at least after this, the 944 won’t have any problems running that I can’t handle on my own.
....
Until it does. It was nice to actually drive it after 4 months of not driving it though!

The transfer case is still sitting in the Willys because I haven’t had the time to pull it and rebuild it. I miss driving it.

Even when the cars running, I still have the suspension to sort out. Control arms, bushings, and ball joints are to be replaced; and I’ll finally get that alignment after 2 years. Then to replace one fan switch for the third and final time, and then it’ll be 97% ready to go.
Haven’t seen you around in a while. Though I’ve not been around as often as I use to be.

As a once-owner of a B5 Passat, if the car runs, I have no questions to ask.

I hate doing suspension work - good luck with it.
I was gone during the Thanksgiving break, but I’m still here being a terrible person as much as I can.

Are you going to rent another passat when that one breaks down?

Actually I’m hoping for an Audi next time.

You mean like a shop loaner?
